About The Position

The IBCA Propulsion Systems Division is seeking an Associate, Mid-Level, and Senior, Manufacturing Planners to support the 777-9 project in planning and factory support roles in Everett, WA. Successful candidates will develop and manage production plans for propulsion commodities, including Engine Build Up (EBU), Strut Build Up (SBU), fairings, cowls, thrust reversers, fuel systems, and Auxiliary Power Units (APU), collaborate closely with engineering to influence designs for quality, producibility, and safety, and interpret drawings to create released assembly plans (CAPP, PDM) for recurring production and change incorporation.

Requirements

  • 1 or more years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 1 year experience working in a manufacturing/production environment?
  • Ability to read, understand, and interpret engineering drawings and specifications

  • Ability to provide shipside support to resolve production issues
  • Familiarity with systems & test commodities and/or manufacturing processes

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and maintain manufacturing plans, Bills of Material (BOM), work instructions, and illustrations to define and document as-built configuration.
  • Develop manufacturing concepts and strategies to support business objectives and delivery commitments.
  • Integrate suppliers, processes, materials, data, and technology to meet manufacturing and delivery requirements; review and approve supplier data.
  • Define tooling requirements and manage tools from initial design through end-of-use disposition, including contract tooling through the value stream.
  • Investigate and resolve manufacturing-related issues and perform producibility assessments for part and product designs; provide producibility input to design and manufacturing processes to meet cost and schedule targets.
  • Draft, update, and review processes and procedures to support business and regulatory requirements.
  • Provide real-time manufacturing engineering (ME) factory support, represent ME in daily factory meetings, act as the shop-floor liaison for emergent requests and non-conformance resolution, and monitor team backlogs, metrics, and resource allocation to meet customer-priority demand.
