About The Position
The Manufacturing Planner/Scheduler III at Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc. is responsible for creating and maintaining an efficient production schedule for manufacturing operations. This role involves developing and owning the scheduling process and tools, working closely with purchasing teams and manufacturing value stream teams to ensure the production and supply of finished goods for on-time shipments. The planner will network with key internal partners and manage aspects of supply and demand planning, including resource capacity and utilization. The position requires scheduling, releasing, and managing production work orders in accordance with Manufacturing Resource Planning (MRP). Additionally, the planner will work with Value Stream Operations to develop attainable schedules, eliminate inefficiencies, and improve workflows to meet and exceed on-time shipment targets. Coordination with Procurement is essential to ensure materials are purchased in appropriate quantities and timeframes to meet production needs. The role also involves identifying and resolving critical issues, gaps, and constraints, and communicating these to leadership and stakeholders.
