About The Position
Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc. is seeking a Manufacturing Planner/Scheduler III to create and maintain an efficient production schedule for manufacturing operations. The successful candidate will develop and own the scheduling process, tools, and work closely with purchasing teams and the manufacturing value stream teams to ensure the production and supply of finished goods for on-time shipments. This role involves networking with key internal partners and owning aspects of supply and demand planning, including resource capacity/utilization. The candidate will schedule, release, and manage production work orders in accordance with Manufacturing Resource Planning (MRP) and work with Value Stream Operations to develop attainable schedules, eliminating inefficiencies and improving workflows to meet and improve on-time shipment targets. Additionally, the role requires close collaboration with the Value Stream and Procurement to prioritize, expedite, and de-expedite work orders based on material availability, work center resources and capacity, and customer demand requirements. The candidate will also coordinate and communicate requirements with Procurement to ensure that materials are purchased in the appropriate quantities and timeframe to meet production needs, and identify, take action to resolve, and communicate critical issues, gaps, and constraints to leadership and stakeholders.
