About The Position

The Manufacturing Operator is responsible for the hands-on manufacturing, assembly, and testing of drones within a production environment. This role involves performing build and test processes on the production line while ensuring compliance with established quality and safety standards. The Manufacturing Operator works closely with technical team leads, production supervisors, and engineers to identify opportunities for process improvements and enhance product quality. This position requires attention to detail, adherence to production schedules, and a commitment to maintaining a safe, efficient, and professional work environment. This role offers flexibility to work one of the following shifts: 1st Shift: Monday – Friday, 6:00 AM – 3:00 PM 2nd Shift: Monday – Friday, 3:00 PM – 12:00 AM

Requirements

  • Experience in an electronics manufacturing and test environment or a strong willingness and interest in learning.
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Proficiency in following work instructions accurately.
  • Strong computer skills, including familiarity with Microsoft Office applications or similar workflow tools).
  • Positive attitude and keen attention to detail.
  • Reliability and dedication to acquiring and enhancing skills in a technical manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, written and spoken
  • Ability to stand for extended periods.
  • Capability to lift and move objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Manual dexterity and fine motor skills for operating equipment and performing assembly tasks.
  • Visual acuity for conducting quality inspections on small components.
  • Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, dust, and other industrial elements, while adhering to all safety protocols, personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements, and workplace safety regulations.
  • This position will require successfully completing a post-offer background check.
  • Successful candidates for positions subject to ITAR/EAR restrictions must provide proof of U.S. Citizenship or Permanent Residence and must not require sponsorship for export-restricted work authorization.

Responsibilities

  • Acquire proficiency in diverse assembly procedures for Teal products, encompassing a broad spectrum of subassemblies.
  • Conduct system testing and quality control inspections in a production setting.
  • Utilize a combination of manual and automated equipment to fulfill manufacturing requirements effectively.
  • Contribute to manufacturing material dispositions and tracking within the manufacturing process.
  • Perform quality inspections on printed circuit boards, mechanical components, and other electronic components using written procedures.
  • Assemble products and sub-component parts including product tests for acceptance.
  • Adhere to production guidelines and specifications diligently.
  • Complete product assembly from start to finish, following both verbal and written assembly procedures.
  • Identify defective materials during assembly and separate material yield analysis.
  • Communicate progress and strive to meet production goals and targets.
  • Collaborate closely with other team members and engineers.
  • Recommend changes in procedures and specifications for continuous performance improvement of all production related tasks.
  • Other duties as assigned.
