About The Position

Prepare prescription lenses for the application of thin-film coatings.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience preferred
  • One (1) to three (3) years of related manufacturing experience preferred
  • Endorsements required for T-40 Operation for use of Ultra Sonic Equipment and Chemicals
  • Ability to read English in order to interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability General mathematical skills to include basic adding, subtracting, multiplication and division
  • Ability to think logically in following procedures and instructions

Responsibilities

  • Prioritize job processing flow as dictated by work ticket incoming and outgoing to T-40. Validate correct lenses are with proper work ticket
  • Prioritize backlogged job flow processing using FIFO (First In, First Out) practices.
  • Place loaded basket on ultra-sonic dispersion holder, remove basket after completion.
  • Place basket in oven for degassing process.
  • Place clipboard containing corresponding basketwork orders in carousal to be processed by AR Coaters.
  • Inspect/replace ultra-sonic water, water filters and osmosis element.
  • Ensure and maintain the cleanliness of all equipment, workstations and overall facility.
  • Practice and comply with all requirements of our Quality Management System (QMS), as well as regulations promoting a safe and healthy work place environment.
  • Re-inspect lenses then properly insert into holders on ultra-sonic insertion basket.
  • Validate correct lenses are with the proper work ticket.
  • Inspect individual lens surfaces for defects, wash lenses to remove all oils and surface debris.
