Qualifications: High School Diploma Able to demonstrate basic computer skills, math and problem-solving; mechanical, numerical, and verbal aptitude to learn our jobs quickly Successfully complete a pre-employment mechanical aptitude test and interview process Successful completion of background check, physical and drug screening is required Must be able to read and follow, weight fractions of ounces, and measure accurately by gallons, pints, and ounces (good math skills) Must be able to use various forms of PPE including respiratory protection Ability to use hand tools and lift up to 50 lbs. Lifting, walking, standing, pushing, and pulling Responsibilities: The successful candidate in an Operator position will be trained in all facets paint mix room operation (Mixing, sampling, testing paint) to learn these essential duties of the position The incumbent must operate production equipment safely to ensure the highest quality and correct quantity in accordance with the production schedule, standard operating procedures, and supervisory instructions Operators will understand the mechanics of how to operate various types of equipment with confidence Solve routine problems associated with job responsibilities Performs all duties in a safe working manner, following all of Axalta's safety policies and procedures Blend and mix toners to designated formula (by hand and using a mix machine) Control paint viscosities and tank levels Record and document all pertinent information when completing mixes Make sure work area is cleaned up Operate mix machine and paint delivery systems Directly responsible for housekeeping and control of waste generation Ability to work schedule with assigned overtime.
