About The Position

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Other duties may be assigned Machine operator is responsible for the following duties: Set up equipment at the beginning and during the shift Bring supplies to the area and ensure correct supplies are used. Able to effectively trouble shoot equipment. Know terminology and components of all areas of equipment. Operate control panel. Document operations by completing all required forms. When machine issues arise, call the mechanic and explain the problem. Make sure the product is sealed and has the correct code (if applicable). Change packaging materials to avoid downtime and identify sub-standard materials and supplies. Operate machine in a safe manner. Communicate to supervisor/ team leader any machine or process problems in a timely manner. Consistent clean-up and stock of area, perform general housekeeping tasks as it relates to respective area in order to provide a clean and safe work environment. Work well in a team oriented atmosphere. Comply with the policies outlined in the Amy’s handbook. Perform other duties as assigned. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES This job has no supervisory responsibilities. QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The individual must meet or exceed overall performance standards as outlined in the Amy’s Performance Appraisal process. Requirements

  • Must have at least 6 months of Amy’s experience or demonstrated previous machine operator experience.
  • Able to read simple instructions
  • Able to complete simple forms
  • Able to verbally communicate with supervisor
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide numbers.
  • Able to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving a few variables in standardized situations.
  • employee is required to stand for extended periods, perform manual dexterity activities and lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
