About The Position

As a Manufacturing Operator, you play a key role in producing the high-quality coffee products that define the Community Coffee brand. You'll be hands-on with processing and packaging operations, keeping production lines running smoothly, efficiently, and safely while maintaining our ambitious standards for quality.

Requirements

  • Manufacturing Operator I: 0-1 year of related experience or training
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Passing score on aptitude test required in lieu of high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Comfortable using basic hand tools
  • Familiarity with mechanical and industrial terminology
  • Willingness to cross-train on multiple pieces of equipment and perform flexible duties
  • Internal Only: Experience with Community Coffee, even if unrelated, may fulfill this requirement at the discretion of the hiring manager with approval from Human Resources

Responsibilities

  • Follow all safety guidelines (Community Coffee and Government), GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices), sanitation standards, and housekeeping procedures to maintain a safe and clean work environment.
  • Set up, operate, monitor, and shut down a variety of production equipment according to daily schedules and manufacturer specifications.
  • Perform regular quality checks to ensure products meet established standards and report any issues to quality assurance or supervision.
  • Operate and adjust packaging, roasting, grinding, and flavoring equipment while responding to real-time production changes.
  • Track daily production output, downtime, run hours, and other key data to support operational performance.
  • Complete basic troubleshooting and partner with the maintenance team to resolve mechanical issues, provide input, and assist in repairs as needed.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of your work area and equipment, supporting the preventative maintenance program through routine cleaning, lubrication, and inspections.
  • Move raw materials and finished goods using manual or electric pallet jacks, rolling hoppers, or forklifts.
  • Support sanitation and safety efforts in compliance with CFR 110, OSHA standards, and food safety guidelines.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement efforts by taking ownership of your equipment and identifying opportunities for increased efficiency.
  • Pitch in on general tasks including housekeeping, material recycling, and assisting in other work areas as needed.
  • Stay up to date on all required training and certifications for your role.
  • Be available to work different shifts based on production demand.
  • May be asked to perform additional duties as necessary
