As an Automation Manufacturing Operator, you are responsible for operating, monitoring, and maintaining automated machinery and equipment used in the production process. You ensure that systems run efficiently, troubleshoot issues as they arise, perform routine maintenance, and follow safety and quality standards to meet production goals. WHAT YOU WILL EXPERIENCE IN THIS POSITION: Troubleshooting and repairing automated systems in a high volume manufacturing environment. Work with the automation and controls engineers to ensure proper machine functionality. Diagnose and solve root problems to ensure production flow is maintained. Work and resolve quality issues affecting product or manufacturing methods. Responsible for the electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic assembly of complex automation equipment using fabricated and purchased parts as well as bill of material provided by engineering. Documentation of mechanical electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic alterations and additions to equipment at various stages. Work closely with the maintenance group beyond authoring PMI’s, to collaboratively equip maintenance with the skills necessary to maintain factory equipment. Demonstrates flexibility by performing rotational assignments as needed. Participates actively as a team member through continuous improvement activities to meet customer needs. Adheres to department 5S standards daily. Maintains a clean, safe, and organized work area. Maintains equipment and materials necessary to complete the operation. Meets established safety, quality, performance standards to ensure production schedules are met. Records accurate information on Manufacturing Order and performs transactions necessary to maintain accurate records and inventory balances. Complies with all applicable safety procedures, quality specifications, and 5S Standards. Reports adverse conditions, non-conforming products/procedures, and 5S violations to department leader in accordance to escalation procedure. YOU HAVE: Knowledge of manufacturing processes Experience following work instructions or reading blueprints Experience in assembling mechanical parts into a finished product Proven experience of strong trouble shooting and problem-solving skills Familiarity with Human Machine Interface (HMI), control systems, Programmable Logic Controller (PLC), and control components.
