About The Position
Responsible for the manufacturing, finishing and inspection of aerospace products in accordance with written work specifications. The position involves hot vulcanize splicing of molded profiles to end plugs and boots, molding small and large parts by manually cutting and/or shaping rubber and placing in molds, and loading (and un-loading) extruded material into large molds. The role requires proper reading and completion of required paperwork on job packages and a paperless scheduling system, conducting in-process inspection of products as specified, and conducting 100% final inspection on products for shipment. Additional responsibilities include deflashing, buffing and cleaning seals in preparation for shipment, marking and stamping products, scanning of parts using optical scanning equipment, packaging, sealing and labeling boxes ready for shipment, operating machinery including small vulcanizing presses, insertion equipment and material transfer equipment, repairing products as required, and inventory control, cycle counting, receiving and shipping as needed. The position also involves working with other team members and management to accomplish corporate goals of on-time delivery, turnaround time, profitability, and returns, along with all other duties as assigned.
