The Manufacturing Operator is responsible for coordinating all activities related to the operation of any assigned machine or area. These activities include monitoring, operation, setup, change over, and troubleshooting, and training of other associates; and ensuring that the customer order is produced according to customer specifications, quality standards, and schedule/work order.

Requirements

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
  • Ability to understand and follow written and oral work instructions in English, such as safety, quality, and GMP guidelines.
  • 6 months of manufacturing job experience.
  • Working knowledge of computers is required to perform necessary tasks such as finding and reading procedures, using computer terminals.
  • Basic math and reading comprehension skills are also required.

Responsibilities

  • Operate equipment within the safety standards and guidelines.
  • Review production orders to verify customer specifications.
  • Ensure line runs according to assigned quality standards, production quantity and machine specification for each item.
  • Coordinate the activities of assigned crew and communicate with material handlers during production runs and downtime to assure maximum efficiencies.
  • Changeover machines for running of different customer orders.
  • Perform troubleshooting duties to ensure that quality parts are produced.
  • Complete all necessary paperwork including in-process inspection, move ticket, and the daily production sheet.
  • Enter data in the SAP system.
  • Support effective implementation of all GMP requirements.
