About The Position

The Manufacturing Operations Team Lead at Walman Optical is responsible for overseeing Lab Technicians in the assigned department, ensuring compliance with established standards and company policies. Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent relevant work experience.
• 2 to 3 years of related work experience in production or distribution.
• Experience in optical lab settings is strongly preferred.
• Competency in using diagnostic equipment and automated systems.
• Proficiency in Windows-based architecture and Microsoft Applications.
• Strong communication skills in English, both oral and written.
• Ability to maintain a disciplined work environment and show up for scheduled work.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in a leadership role within a manufacturing environment.
• Familiarity with ISO Standards and quality control measures.

Responsibilities

• Oversee Lab Technicians and support the Department Supervisor.
• Ensure compliance with safety procedures and established processes.
• Resolve process problems to minimize downtime and maximize yields.
• Support supervisors in meeting daily production goals.
• Perform routine maintenance and assist maintenance technicians as needed.
• Provide production data and maintain communication with facility management.
• Direct calibration of equipment and maintain documentation per ISO Standards.
• Track workforce metrics to effectively direct associates and solicit feedback.
• Make recommendations for associate development opportunities.
