About The Position

Founded in 1955, Piasecki Aircraft Corporation (PiAC) specializes in the research and development of experimental rotorcraft and unmanned aerial vehicles. With a legacy of innovation, PiAC has developed and flown more than 25 advanced VTOL and UAV aircraft, continuing to pioneer cutting-edge vertical flight technologies. The Manufacturing Operations Specialist will oversee and coordinate manufacturing activities to ensure efficient production and adherence to quality standards. You'll initially focus on driving production operations for the KARGO UAV program. As the program matures or as business needs change, you will transition to support production across other experimental rotorcraft and UAV initiatives. This role bridges the gap between design and the shop floor. It involves direct collaboration with cross-functional teams to optimize processes, manage resources, and hit program milestones.

  • Proficiency in interpreting engineering drawings, schematics, and specifications.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Effective communication and collaboration abilities to work with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Proficiency in manufacturing software tools and systems, such as ERP/MRP platforms.
  • Knowledge of quality control systems and standards, such as AS9100 or ISO 9001.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field preferred.
  • 3-5 years of experience in manufacturing or production environments, ideally in aerospace or related industries.
  • Must meet U.S. Government Export Control compliance requirements as a “U.S. Person.”

  • Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and quality assurance teams to align production schedules and resources.
  • Monitor manufacturing processes to ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
  • Develop and implement process improvements to enhance productivity and reduce waste.
  • Troubleshoot production issues, resolve bottlenecks, and recommend corrective actions.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of manufacturing activities, including work orders, schedules, and material usage.
  • Support prototype development and assist in transitioning designs from concept to production.
  • Provide training and mentorship to production team members on procedures, new equipment, and best practices.
