Summary of Role: Fab 8 is seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Engineer to support day-to-day operations in its advanced, highly automated 300mm wafer fabrication facility in Malta, New York. This role operates on a compressed 12-hour shift schedule (3–4 days on/off), and candidates must be willing to work any shift in our 24/7 manufacturing environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Operations Research, Computer Science, or related field from an accredited degree program.
  • Must have at least an overall 3.0 GPA and proven good academic standing.
  • Language Fluency - English (Written & Verbal)
  • Must be willing to work any shift in our 24/7 manufacturing environment.
  • This role operates on a compressed 12-hour shift schedule (3–4 days on/off).

Nice To Haves

  • Prior related internship or co-op experience.
  • Demonstrated prior leadership experience in the workplace, school projects, competitions, etc.
  • Project management skills, i.e. the ability to innovate and execute solutions that matter; the ability to navigate ambiguity.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong planning & organizational skills
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and able to react to shifting priorities to meet business needs.
  • Individual must be well versed in all Microsoft Applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)

Responsibilities

  • Manage daily manufacturing operations, factory capacity, cycle time, and output goals through effective lot release, run planning, and bottleneck management.
  • Maximize tool utilization and production flow through dispatch troubleshooting, WIP analysis, preventive maintenance coordination, and automation systems.
  • Collaborate with equipment and process engineering on priorities, qualifications, and timelines while tracking critical lots and driving continuous improvement.
  • Lead teams through clear communication and delegation, serve as point of contact during coverage gaps or crises, and ensure compliance with safety, training, and performance standards.
  • Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs
