Learn about the Trident II D5 Fleet Ballistic Missile. In this role will offer you the following daily responsibilities: In this role, you are responsible for supporting, mentoring, and motivating a manufacturing team of supervisors and ordnance mechanics to meet operational safety, quality, and productivity goals on tasks related to Post DD-250 special weapons operations. You will be one of two Associate Managers utilizing root-cause analysis and continuous improvement tools to develop solutions and implement systems to meet specific compliance standards in a complex, zero-defect, security-focused production environment. The successful candidate for this position will be a self-managing, action-oriented individual focused on developing and supporting a high-performing team while delivering business results. Please note that this position does NOT support teleworking; the preferred candidate will be located near our Lockheed Martin Space facility in Silverdale, WA, and will be expected to work in the office.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of related supervisory or 2+ years related managerial experience in a production or manufacturing environment
  • Experience within Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and/or Continuous Improvement (CI) events
  • Demonstrated leadership skills or behaviors that align with Full Spectrum Leadership (FSL) standards
  • Obtain and maintain eligibility for the Navy's Personnel Reliability Program (PRP)
  • You will need to be a U.S. Citizen and be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. DoD Security Clearance to support this government contract. No clearance is required to apply. An interim Secret clearance is required prior to start
  • Pass a drug and background check, in order to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information

Nice To Haves

  • Supervisory or managerial experience of unionized hourly employees within a high consequence industry
  • Experience collecting and analyzing metrics to make data-based decisions.
  • Prior customer engagement experiences requiring communication of technical concepts to external stakeholders
  • Ability to interface and effectively communicate with customers, peers and leadership and establish trust/credibility
  • Depth and breadth of knowledge with the FBM missile/reentry body/support equipment technical community
  • Green Belt certification

  • Current security clearance
