About The Position

This role centers on sustaining, troubleshooting, and optimizing electrical systems within a manufacturing environment. The position is not focused on construction or new installation work. The successful candidate will demonstrate advanced troubleshooting capabilities, strong industrial electrical knowledge, and the ability to keep production equipment operating safely and efficiently. This is a hands-on maintenance role requiring both electrical depth and mechanical awareness in a production-driven facility.

Requirements

  • Valid State of Delaware Journeyman Electrician certification (REQUIRED).
  • Minimum 2+ years of hands-on industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong troubleshooting background with industrial electrical systems.
  • Experience working with PLC-driven production equipment.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret electrical circuits and automation controls.
  • Stable, progressive employment history (no frequent short-term roles).
  • High school diploma or GED.

Nice To Haves

  • 3+ years of industrial electrical maintenance experience.
  • Associate degree in electrical technology or related field.
  • Experience with Siemens or Allen-Bradley platforms.
  • Exposure to GMP or regulated manufacturing environments.
  • Demonstrated preventive maintenance program participation.
  • Strong documentation discipline and safety record.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnosing and resolving electrical failures on industrial production equipment.
  • Troubleshooting motor controls, VFDs, contactors, relays, instrumentation, and automated systems.
  • Working with PLC-controlled machinery (diagnostics and troubleshooting, not programming-heavy).
  • Performing preventive and predictive maintenance to minimize downtime.
  • Reading and interpreting electrical schematics, ladder logic, and control diagrams.
  • Supporting equipment upgrades, retrofits, and electrical improvements.
  • Executing lockout/tagout procedures and adhering strictly to safety protocols.
  • Documenting maintenance activities accurately within tracking systems.
  • Assisting in cross-functional troubleshooting involving mechanical, pneumatic, and control systems.
  • Supporting operational reliability initiatives with engineering and production teams.
