Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and minimum 8 years experience in an engineering, manufacturing operations, quality, or related work environment OR a Master's degree and minimum 5 years experience in an an engineering, manufacturing operations, quality, or related work environment
  • In absence of a degree, 12 or more years of experience in an engineering, manufacturing operations, quality, or related work environment
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products
  • Understanding of continuous improvement tools such as Six Sigma and LEAN concepts
  • Working knowledge of shop practices, processes and procedures
  • Demonstrated flexibility / adaptability in high stress, ambiguous environments
  • Demonstrated ability to plan and prioritize

Nice To Haves

  • Manufacturing management experience and/or demonstrated skill and success in team leadership, facilitation and coaching skills.
  • SAP proficiency

Responsibilities

  • The Manufacturing Manager - AWW Off Shift reports directly to the AWW Operations Manager.
  • The Manufacturing Manager - AWW Off Shift provides leadership and guidance to the hourly team.
  • This role will oversee all business unit's MOD’s, and NBRO, ensuring communicated plans are followed.
  • Ensure shift requirements, pitch, and MSW are being met.
  • Work with MTS and support areas that are staffed on this shift.
  • Ensure hourly teams are working the plans set by BU’s, MOD’s, and NBRO; provide direction to the hourly team when needed.
  • Drive a World-class safety culture.
  • Responding to all EH&S requirements promptly.
  • Support CORE (Customer Oriented Results and Excellence), Lean and other continuous improvement techniques to develop and implement process improvement initiatives aimed at increasing quality, throughput and delivery integrity.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to a multi-skilled team engaged in the distribution of material to and from manufacturing cells and module assembly.
  • Execute business decisions fairly; provide two-way communications, consistent application of policy/work rules, clear, consistent communication of organizational goals and objectives.
