About The Position

Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is seeking a Manufacturing Manager (Composite Fabrication) for the 2nd Shift to support the CMC team in Puyallup, WA. The successful candidate will possess strong interpersonal and coaching skills to foster a One BPS culture, utilizing its tools and key performance indicators. The role emphasizes a first-pass quality approach, requiring leaders to be committed to team member success. Maintaining FOD-free products and practicing 'clean as you go' are integral components of the production system, demanding steadfast commitment to standards, people, and customers.

Requirements

  • Ability to work any shift assigned
  • 3+ years of experience in Aerospace, Fabrication, or Manufacturing experience
  • 3+ years of experience using the One Boeing Production System (BPS) or use of Lean tools and principles
  • 3+ years of experience using continuous improvement techniques
  • At least one year of experience in a leadership role (team leader, temp manager, large scale cross functional project/program management, or formal manager experience) OR have completed the Boeing internal course “Exploring Leadership.”

Nice To Haves

  • 1+ years of experience within the Boeing Production System (BPS)
  • 1+ years of experience applying continuous improvement tools and techniques
  • Experience utilizing performance Indicators within Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost and Manufacturing

Responsibilities

  • Manage employees performing activities in multiple manufacturing disciplines
  • Develops and executes business plans, policies and procedures and develops organizational and technical strategies
  • Acquires resources, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements
  • Develop and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports
  • Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes
  • Manages, develops and motivates employees
