Requirements

Supervisory Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of supervisory or management experience in a biotech/pharmaceutical manufacturing environment.
Technical Expertise: Proven experience in the day-to-day technical triage and troubleshooting of complex biotech manufacturing processes (preferably upstream/bioreactors).
Leadership & Engagement: Proven ability to provide constructive feedback, coach team members, and communicate complex information clearly to a variety of stakeholders.
Strategic & Results-Oriented: Demonstrated ability to evaluate costs and risks before making decisions, empower team members, and address performance issues in a timely manner.
Collaboration & Networking: Strong ability to build a collaborative network across functions and roles to promote shared responsibility and achieve organizational goals.
Continuous Improvement: Experience driving change, encouraging innovation, and actively seeking feedback to continually build one's leadership and management skills.
Schedule: Must be able to commit to and lead the Tuesday - Friday, 6:00 PM - 4:00 AM night shift schedule.

Responsibilities

Compliance & Audit Leadership: Serve as the primary representative for the department during audits and inspections, accountable for implementing regulatory commitments and driving facility readiness.
Quality System Ownership: Own the implementation of Safety CAPAs, Change Controls, and drive process improvements, working in collaboration with Engineering, Technical Services, and other support functions.
Deviation Management: Responsible for supporting deviation triage, investigation root cause analysis, and developing comprehensive CAPA plans.
Strategic Project Representation: Represent Manufacturing in key cross-functional projects, including capital projects, tech transfers, kaizen events, and shutdown planning.
Operational Scheduling: Coordinate routine and non-routine suite activities, schedule production activities in collaboration with department heads, and support schedule governance meetings.
People Management & Development: Ensure staff development plans are in place, hold routine development discussions, and establish individual goals in accordance with site objectives.
Drive Change & Improvement: Look beyond current processes to identify and effectively implement value-added change, supporting continuous improvement projects identified through the visual management system.
