About The Position

As part of the Thermo Fisher Scientific team, the Manufacturing Manager will discover meaningful work that makes a positive impact on a global scale, contributing to the company's mission to enable customers to make the world healthier, cleaner, and safer. The Manufacturing Manager will oversee daily operations, ensure safety and quality standards, develop talent, and implement process improvements to achieve business objectives. This position combines strategic leadership with operational management to support the company's mission.

Requirements

  • Advanced Degree plus 6 years of manufacturing operations management experience, or Bachelor's Degree plus 8 years of manufacturing operations management experience, preferably in pharmaceutical, biotechnology or regulated industry
  • Demonstrated experience leading and developing manufacturing teams of 10+ direct reports
  • Strong knowledge of GMP regulations, quality systems, and safety protocols
  • Experience implementing continuous improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma, PPI)
  • Demonstrated success improving operational efficiency and productivity
  • Excellent project management and cross-functional collaboration skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with data-driven decision making
  • Clear and effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to adapt in a dynamic environment
  • Proficiency with manufacturing systems, ERP software, and MS Office suite
  • Experience with change management and leading teams through organizational transitions
  • Knowledge of equipment validation, calibration, and maintenance processes
  • Ability to work flexible schedules
  • Strong financial and budget management capabilities
  • Experience with regulatory compliance and quality audits

Nice To Haves

  • Preferred Fields of Study: Business, Engineering, Chemistry, Biology, Pharmaceutical Sciences or related technical field
  • Multiple language proficiency may be beneficial
