About The Position

Manufacturing Manager Company: The Boeing Company Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is seeking a First Line Manufacturing Manager (Level K) to join the Boeing Salt Lake Fabrication team in Salt Lake City, Utah . Position Responsibilities: Lead and manage manufacturing teams to achieve production schedules, quality standards, and cost targets. Develop and implement manufacturing processes, workflows, and best practices to optimize efficiency and productivity. Ensure compliance with Boeing’s safety, quality, and environmental policies. Collaborate with engineering and design teams to support product development and resolve manufacturing issues. Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, or other methodologies to reduce waste and improve processes. Manage resources, including labor, equipment, and materials, to meet production demands. Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and prepare reports for senior management. Oversee training and development of manufacturing personnel to build a skilled and motivated workforce. Ensure adherence to regulatory and customer requirements, including FAA and other aerospace standards. Lead problem-solving efforts and root cause analysis for manufacturing defects or delays.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in Aerospace, Fabrication, or manufacturing environment
  • 3+ years of experience leading teams in a formal and /or informal leadership role
  • 3+ years of experience applying continuous improvement tools and techniques
  • 3+ years of experience using Microsoft Office tools (Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint)
  • Able and willingness to work variable shifts, including weekends, holidays, and overtime

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with aerospace manufacturing standards and certifications
  • Familiarity with Boeing production systems and tools
  • Ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders at all level
  • Proficiency with manufacturing software, CMES, ADPP, Excell
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, quality systems, and safety standards
