We’re looking for a Manufacturing Manager who can take full ownership of production operations in our Philmont, New York plant. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for delivering on safety, quality, service, and cost—while developing supervisors and operators into a high-performing, accountable team. Requirements

  • 5+ years of manufacturing leadership experience (plastics, packaging, or high-speed manufacturing preferred)
  • Proven ability to lead teams in a 24/5 or 24/7 operation
  • Strong background in Lean / Continuous Improvement and operational execution
  • Experience driving performance through metrics and data
  • Ability to influence, coach, and hold teams accountable at all levels
  • ERP experience (IQMS a plus)
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred (Engineering, Operations, or related field)

Responsibilities

  • Help lead all day-to-day manufacturing operations to meet production, efficiency, and delivery targets
  • Drive performance across key plant metrics (safety, quality, output, scrap, and cost)
  • Partner cross-functionally with Maintenance, Quality, and Supply Chain to keep the plant running at full strength
  • Identify performance gaps and take action—quickly and effectively
  • Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards (OSHA, FDA, ISO)
  • Support equipment reliability and uptime through strong coordination with Maintenance and Engineering
  • Lead, coach, and develop hourly teams across multiple shifts
  • Create a culture of accountability, engagement, and continuous improvement
  • Set clear expectations and hold teams accountable to performance standards
  • Drive talent development, succession planning, and workforce stability
  • Ensure proper staffing and coverage to meet production demands
  • Champion Lean Manufacturing and 5S to improve efficiency and reduce waste
  • Lead and support initiatives focused on throughput, scrap reduction, and cost savings
  • Partner on new product introductions and process validation
  • Build sustainable processes—not just quick fixes
  • Reinforce a safety-first culture across all shifts
  • Partner with Quality to ensure consistent product and process standards
  • Lead from the front when issues arise—investigate, resolve, and prevent recurrence
