Responsibilities

  • Manage or assist with managing various production activities including assembly, material forming/shaping, processing, treating, or packaging.
  • Plan, direct, and monitor production to meet established specifications, schedules, volume/cost/wastage targets, and quality standards.
  • Liaise with Manufacturing Engineering, Supply & Logistics, Sales, etc. to develop production schedules and allocate labor/capital resources.
  • Plan, prioritize, and manage production line maintenance/downtime to minimize disruptions.
  • Direct, leverage, and guide the work of others, mobilizing resources.
  • Monitor and achieve operational and/or financial results for their area of responsibility.
  • Manage people management actions such as hiring, terminating, rewarding, training, and developing employees.
  • Set goals and objectives for team members for achievement of operational results.
  • Solve problems following operational policies and understand the broader impact across the department.
  • Develop and administer schedules and performance requirements; may have budget responsibilities.
