About The Position
The position involves providing leadership, coordination, and competencies that guide the manufacturing team and processes in the area of safety, productivity, housekeeping, customer satisfaction, cost effectiveness, and people systems; while promoting continuous improvement and the use of reliable methods within the manufacturing organization. The role is responsible for the development and achievement of the manufacturing business plan and overall cost effectiveness of the manufacturing operation. The individual will monitor and direct the performance of all manufacturing activities including throughput, cost and waste control, maintenance, quality, inventories control, and meeting budgeted production metrics, while ensuring that all safety reliable methods are in place. Additionally, the position requires implementing and maintaining systems to drive manufacturing improvements, leading, coaching, motivating, and engaging work teams to accomplish operational objectives, and ensuring that all management, manufacturing, maintenance, and human resources systems are current and effectively utilized. The role also involves ensuring compliance with EPA regulations and actively participating in the development of employees through training, coaching, and performance review feedback.
