Primary Purpose of the Role The Manufacturing Manager- Projects and Process Support works in partnership with the Plant Leadership team to support the different functional areas by helping to accelerate the curve on trials, training / Curriculum, process standards and technical support.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in manufacturing operations with a focus on continuous improvement, process engineering, or Lean leadership.
  • Clear concise communication both verbally and in writing to all levels within the organization.
  • Can lead a project using formal project management approach.
  • Recognize Waste and Opportunity: Able to recognize waste and size up opportunities for improvement, even in a lean manufacturing environment.
  • Knows the Microsoft Office Suite of PC tools.
  • Knowledge of ERP systems.
  • Engineering mindset.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in statistics and Minitab a plus.
  • Manufacturing management experience- paper or film converting or printing industry a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage all aspects of manufacturing trials, including planning, scheduling, execution, and post-trial analysis
  • Champion a culture of employee engagement, empowerment, and accountability through structured problem-solving.
  • SOC/SOP Standards Creation (Training collaboration)
  • Ability to lead Continuous Improvement efforts and Problem Solving techniques
  • Project Improvement partnered with CI or Process Engineer
  • Advanced Troubleshooting/Long term improvements (Maintenance Collaboration)
  • Partners with operations, maintenance, quality, and HR teams to identify process inefficiencies and implement sustainable improvements.
  • Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of improvement efforts.
  • New Equipment/Product Startup Support
  • Ensure compliance with all Safety Policies and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs)
  • Assist in other duties as assigned to meet business needs
