A Day in the Life Medtronic is seeking an experienced Manufacturing Maintenance Technician III to join our Operations Manufacturing Engineering Group in Danvers, MA. This role involves providing advanced technical support in manufacturing operations, troubleshooting, and process optimization to ensure high-quality production. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in troubleshooting and diagnosing complex electromechanical equipment and will be able to provide technical support to engineers to improve cycle-time, yield, unit cost, quality, safety, and compliance in production processes. Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned. Performs installation, maintenance, and repairs on line manufacturing or plant equipment. Locates and diagnoses failures, replaces defective components, and performs basic troubleshooting using standard electronic equipment, detailed drawings, diagrams, sketches, specifications, prints, manuals, and verbal and/or written instructions. Maintains appropriate maintenance and repair logs. Uses a variety of hand, power, and test tools and equipment. May redesign optical, vacuum, electrical, electronic, or mechanical systems for incorporation on existing manufacturing equipment. May estimate labor and equipment costs and prepare requisitions as required.

Requirements

  • Requires minimum of 4 years of relevant experience.
  • Requires high school diploma or equivalent

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in troubleshooting and diagnosing complex electromechanical equipment
  • Provide technical support to engineers to improve cycle-time, yield, unit cost, quality, safety, and compliance in production processes
  • Monitor instruments and equipment, collect operating data, and assist in making on-line adjustments to ensure optimal performance.
  • Analyze and resolve deviations in instruments and control systems to identify and address root causes.
  • Perform basic and preventive maintenance on production equipment on time.
  • Maintain an inventory of spare parts, establishing safety stocks for wear and tear
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and reduce waste.
  • Communicate with internal teams to provide technical updates and resolve operational challenges.
  • For Baccalaureate degrees earned outside of the United States, a degree that satisfies the requirements of 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A) is required.
