Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Previous coursework/equivalent experience required in PLC’s.
  • Minimum 6 years’ experience in maintenance/technical support in a medical/GMP regulated environment.
  • Highly proficient with tools, instrumentation, and test equipment.
  • Ability to read and understand complex mechanical, electrical drawings, flowcharts, and/or other drawings of a technical nature.
  • Advanced Electrical/ Mechanical knowledge concerning machines and tools including design, uses, repair, and maintenance.
  • Experience with RF Welding theory/process, Bonding, Ultrasonic welding, Hot plate welding, leak testing, etc.
  • Demonstrated fluency with database and information systems as required by the department.
  • Advanced understanding of complex automation processes.
  • Demonstrated understanding and compliance with all safety requirements.

Nice To Haves

  • Technical degree programs/certifications desired.
  • Preferred experience in support of manufacturing.

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot, repair and improve manufacturing equipment.
  • Mentor less experienced technicians.
  • Perform PM’s and monitor equipment performance.
  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical, and controls systems with emphasis on automation, PLC’s, and robotic devices.
  • Identify opportunities to improve equipment performance.
  • Manage small projects on semi-automated or fully automated manufacturing equipment.
  • Complete maintenance activities such as advanced troubleshooting of mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, controls and electrical systems.
  • Contribute to process optimization through equipment design improvements.
  • Ensure calibrations are current on all machines.
  • Develop technical skills and knowledge through various means.
  • Collaborate with engineers on complex problem solving.
  • Conduct investigations and recommend changes and upgrades to equipment.
  • Manage equipment performance improvement projects.
  • Contribute to process validation activities.
  • Perform routine diagnostic checks on automated systems.
  • Assist in new technology or equipment specification, installation, and modifications.
  • Provide operation training on automated systems to maintenance techs and production operations.
  • Support department KPI’s/Metrics/Objectives.
