About The Position

The Maintenance Planner I is responsible for coordinating and developing detailed maintenance plans to ensure manufacturing equipment operates efficiently and reliably. This role focuses on scheduling preventative maintenance activities, prioritizing repair work, and collaborating closely with maintenance and production teams to reduce equipment downtime. Working within a high-output manufacturing environment, the Maintenance Planner will oversee maintenance planning activities, manage work orders, maintain maintenance records, and ensure compliance with safety and operational standards. This role directly supports plant efficiency, equipment reliability, and production continuity.

Requirements

  • 5 to 10 years of experience in a high-volume manufacturing or packaging environment preferred.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated expertise using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) .
  • Experience working with Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) systems strongly preferred.
  • Experience with project management and capital equipment projects preferred.
  • Ability to work off shift hours, weekends, and overtime when operational needs require.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and coordinate detailed maintenance plans to support optimal equipment performance.
  • Schedule and track preventative maintenance activities across plant equipment and systems.
  • Prioritize repair tasks and coordinate maintenance activities to minimize operational disruptions.
  • Partner with Maintenance and Operations teams to develop maintenance schedules and ensure required parts and resources are available.
  • Supervise and manage all aspects of the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) within the manufacturing environment.
  • Plan and execute mechanical and electrical best practice initiatives through the CMMS platform.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records and manage work orders within the system.
  • Perform work order quality audits to improve mechanical efficiency and team performance.
  • Develop, maintain, and continuously improve the plant's preventative maintenance program .
  • Support mechanical and electrical maintenance activities to ensure reliable operation of equipment and systems.
  • Assist with plant equipment revitalization initiatives and capital improvement projects.
  • Develop and support maintenance training programs for plant mechanics and electricians related to CMMS processes and equipment maintenance.
  • Lead or participate in continuous improvement initiatives focused on improving equipment reliability and production line efficiencies.
  • Actively participate in operational and maintenance meetings.
  • Supervise maintenance parts procurement and vendor pricing.
  • Monitor maintenance inventory levels and support expense budget management.
  • Perform safety training and ensure adherence to plant safety procedures.
  • Maintain a safe working environment for all employees within the facility.
