Summary The Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for ensuring the operation of all production related equipment, including modification, installation, repair and preventative maintenance.

Requirements

  • Graduation from high school or receipt of equivalent degree (GED).
  • 3 years of experience as a licensed mechanic or a minimum of 5 years of related experience.
  • Basic electrical, welding, and fabricating skills.
  • Knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety requirements.
  • Familiar with ISO/IATF16949 Quality Systems.
  • To conform to U.S. Government export regulations, applicant must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S. or protected individual as defined by ITAR (22 CFR §120.15).

Responsibilities

  • Maintain all secondary/support machinery, pumps, AC/heating units, compressors, electrical panel, building (minor) and plumbing.
  • Maintain all tumblers and sanding equipment.
  • Proper diagnostic and problem solving in an immediate response situation to all equipment failure.
  • Ensure proper documentation and information is recorded on a daily basis.
  • Maintain cooling tower, parts washer and driers.
  • Perform preventative maintenance duties to keep equipment in optimal performance.
  • Perform minor electrical troubleshooting.
  • Proper diagnostic and problem solving in an immediate response situation to equipment failure.
  • Check overall condition and operation of equipment on an ongoing and regular basis.
  • Ensure that all plant equipment has adequate spare parts, including but not limited to essential stock.
  • Work with vendors and contractors to identify proper replacement parts and services.
  • Take active part in training and helping others as required.
  • Participate in continuous improvement teams as required.
  • Ensure full implementation of all relevant procedures and instructions.
  • Ensure documentation and records are maintained adherent to ISO/IATF 16949 Quality System.
  • Attend training activities as required.
  • Participate in safety and OSHA training.
