Provides emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and performs scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service.
Prepares and sets up machinery for scheduled production runs.
Performs mechanical skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic troubleshooting and repair of packaging and production machines.
Reads and interprets equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
Comply with OSHA safety and health rules.
Clean air conditioning filters on a regular basis.
Replace light bulbs.
Do repairs on the buildings (example: painting, minor plumbing, minor carpentry, reseeding of lawns, replanting of shrubs, etc.)
Perform other duties as assigned
High school graduate
Technical training
2 years' related experience in sewing and production machines
Able to use and read a tape measure
Ability to use production equipment
Ability to use hand and power tools
Capable of standing for extended periods of time
Capable of lifting on a continuous basis
Strong attention to details
Follow written and verbal instructions
Minor plumbing, carpentry, and electrical knowledge are preferred
OSHA certified
General knowledge of fabrics and hand cutting of fabrics
