About The Position

We are seeking a Manufacturing Maintenance Lead is responsible for performing overall maintenance on all production machinery including preventive maintenance and troubleshooting, setting up machinery, and sharpening knives to produce the products. Essential Duties & Responsibilities: Follow and ensure department employees follow all safety, quality, and manufacturing processes and procedures. Schedule and prioritize maintenance projects to be completed by department daily. Communicate with outside vendors for tooling, spare parts, repairs, and equipment installations, as needed. Lead preventive maintenance program on all production machinery. Trouble-shoot and perform overall maintenance on all production machinery. Construct and implement improvement procedures. Communicate production concerns as it relates to maintenance with the Production Manager. Inspect used parts to determine changes in dimensional requirements, using rules, calipers, micrometers, or other measuring instruments. Diagnose mechanical problems and determine how to correct them, checking blueprints, repair manuals, or parts catalogs, as necessary. Inspect drives, motors, and belts, check fluid levels, replace filters, or perform other maintenance actions, following checklists. Plan and lay out repair work, using diagrams, drawings, blueprints, maintenance manuals, or schematic diagrams. Operate equipment such as forklifts, manlifts, plow trucks in compliance with all safety standards. Maintain building and grounds for the Manufacturing buildings. Program the mechanics on several machines using mathematical problem solutions. Sharpen and change CNC knives. Conduct in-process quality checks to ensure compliance standards are being met. Read, understand, and follow all departmental Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) in production supporting the manufacturing of our sporting good products. Read, understand, and follow all product specifications and processes supporting the manufacturing of our sporting good products.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED
  • Two-year degree in manufacturing maintenance or three to five years of related manufacturing or machinist work experience
  • Experience in electronics
  • Experience in CNC machines
  • Forklift experience
  • Welding experience
  • Experience programming mechanics on manufacturing machines.
  • Must have the ability to work alone or with limited supervision.
  • Knowledge of using hand air tools including drills, saws, and grinders.
  • Good communication skills to effectively communicate with management, co-workers, and vendors.
  • Knowledge or using hand tools including hammers, screw drivers, saws, and drills.
  • Knowledge of using wire feed arc welder, propane torch, hand floor jack, hydraulic pumps, and two-part resin dispensing system.
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products including Word and Excel
  • Ability to lift and/or move objects weighing up to 50 pounds
