About The Position

The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for engaging with plant production teams to support process improvements and also execute capital projects to support plant strategy. HOW WILL YOU MAKE AN IMPACT? Lead and support structured problem solving activities in the plant to address safety, waste and productivity concerns Lead capital investment projects from scope definition through implementation in support of plant strategy and direction Communicate with suppliers of equipment to determine correct equipment for applications and also as needed to support troubleshooting of existing equipment. Lead, initiative and support projects aimed at standardizing best practice approaches and sharing lessons learned Utilize experience and lessons learned to identifying gaps in the plant processes for project execution and implementation Identify opportunities in the plant for improvement and take action to address them. Support continuous improvement related to the key KPIs in the plant. Support implementation of safety, production, productivity, and quality initiatives

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering in a related field
  • 2+ years of engineering experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong knowledge of equipment and manufacturing processes
  • Strong leadership skills (team skills, conflict, management, networking)
  • Experience working with Project Teams

Nice To Haves

  • Experience leading a project team
  • Methodological competence in the field of Engineering, cross-functional experience e.g. in engineering, quality, production or CBS
  • Experience with plant expansions and new equipment installation
  • Experience in rubber and/or plastic processing preferred
  • Experience with intercultural communication (eg. internally across locations, international customers, international suppliers)
