Now Hiring: CNC Machine Tool Field Service Technician / Engineer Shift: Day Shift (8-hour shifts, Monday–Friday) Compensation: $35–$55 per hour Travel: Some travel required This field-based role supports customers through expert installation, troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of CNC machine tools and related systems. Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in CNC machine tool service and repair
  • Expert-level knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and control systems troubleshooting
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents, schematics, and blueprints
  • Strong customer-facing skills with a commitment to high-quality service
  • Proficiency with diagnostic tools, precision measurement instruments, and hands-on repair
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel, including occasional overnight assignments
  • Willingness to travel, including overnight stays as needed
  • Ability to manage multiple service calls and prioritize effectively
  • Flexibility to work occasional evenings or weekends to support customer needs
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to documentation
  • Ability to work independently while representing MMS professionally in the field
  • Commitment to continued technical learning and professional development

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with specialized CNC equipment or advanced industrial technologies
  • Ability to train and mentor junior service technicians
  • Experience with advanced troubleshooting techniques, including remote diagnostics

Responsibilities

  • Install, maintain, and repair CNC machine tools and associated systems at customer locations
  • Diagnose and resolve complex mechanical, electrical, and control system issues
  • Ensure proper equipment calibration and performance to meet industry and client standards
  • Provide technical guidance and customer training on equipment use and preventive maintenance
  • Maintain detailed service documentation and reports
  • Collaborate with internal teams to support continuous improvement and customer satisfaction
  • Travel as required to meet customer service demands
