Now Hiring: CNC Machine Tool Field Service Technician / Engineer Shift: Day Shift (8-hour shifts, Monday–Friday) Compensation: $35–$55 per hour Travel: Some travel required This field-based role supports customers through expert installation, troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of CNC machine tools and related systems. Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in CNC machine tool service and repair
- Expert-level knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and control systems troubleshooting
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents, schematics, and blueprints
- Strong customer-facing skills with a commitment to high-quality service
- Proficiency with diagnostic tools, precision measurement instruments, and hands-on repair
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel, including occasional overnight assignments
- Willingness to travel, including overnight stays as needed
- Ability to manage multiple service calls and prioritize effectively
- Flexibility to work occasional evenings or weekends to support customer needs
- Strong organizational skills and attention to documentation
- Ability to work independently while representing MMS professionally in the field
- Commitment to continued technical learning and professional development
Nice To Haves
- Experience with specialized CNC equipment or advanced industrial technologies
- Ability to train and mentor junior service technicians
- Experience with advanced troubleshooting techniques, including remote diagnostics
Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair CNC machine tools and associated systems at customer locations
- Diagnose and resolve complex mechanical, electrical, and control system issues
- Ensure proper equipment calibration and performance to meet industry and client standards
- Provide technical guidance and customer training on equipment use and preventive maintenance
- Maintain detailed service documentation and reports
- Collaborate with internal teams to support continuous improvement and customer satisfaction
- Travel as required to meet customer service demands
