About The Position

The position supports compliance with corporate and local Training and Development (T&D) policies and procedures, offering support and guidance to other departments and interfacing with external professional experts. The role involves setting the strategy for the training and development function and driving the implementation of an effective strategy for the Greenville Site. It includes managing processes and structures to support local delivery of the strategy and policy, identifying, planning, implementing, and evaluating training and development activities to ensure the short-term and long-term availability of a competent and performing workforce to meet the current and future requirements of the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Supports compliance with corporate & local Training and Development (T&D) policies and procedures.
  • Offers support and guidance to other departments and interfaces with external professional experts.
  • Sets the strategy for the training and development function and drives implementation of an effective strategy for the Greenville Site.
  • Manages processes and structures to support local delivery of the strategy and policy.
  • Identifies, plans, implements, and evaluates training and development activities.
  • Ensures the availability of a competent and performing workforce to meet current and future organizational requirements.
  • Coaches direct and indirect employees in T&D programs and supports decision making.
  • Provides support and advice to line managers to develop and retain a competent and committed workforce.
  • Offers pragmatic guidance and solutions and is willing to make difficult decisions.
  • Supports the delivery of organizational development/change and performance improvement activity.
  • Facilitates the site’s behavior-based safety process and organizes quarterly safety topics.
  • Ensures adherence to specific guidelines and regulations regarding quantity, quality, environment, and safety.
