About The Position

The Manufacturing Laboratory Technologist at BioBridge Global is responsible for performing various laboratory tasks related to blood and tissue component processing, quality control testing, and compliance with regulatory standards. This role is crucial in ensuring the safety and efficacy of blood and tissue products, contributing to the organization's mission of saving lives through high-quality medical services.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Medical Technology, Clinical Laboratory Science, or equivalent.
  • MT (ASCP) certification or eligibility within 18 months.
  • Two or more years of clinical laboratory experience, including testing and quality control.
  • Working knowledge of regulatory and quality requirements in laboratory settings.
  • Strong manual dexterity and technical abilities in laboratory equipment usage.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with cord blood processing and testing procedures.
  • Familiarity with NMDP, AABB, FACT, and FDA standards.
  • Advanced computer skills, particularly in data management systems.

Responsibilities

  • Perform component modification, sampling, and testing of blood and tissue products.
  • Conduct quality control testing and maintain accurate records and documentation.
  • Analyze quality control data and resolve discrepancies in test results.
  • Operate laboratory equipment and perform calibrations and maintenance as needed.
  • Train new employees and maintain annual training competencies for the testing laboratory.
  • Ensure compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and regulatory requirements.
  • Provide excellent customer service and respond to feedback from internal and external customers.
