About The Position

Do you enjoy testing things, organizing stuff, and occasionally lifting things that make you question your life choices? Perfect...we might have the job for you. Green Energy Biofuel is a leader in sustainable energy solutions, turning used cooking oil (yes, that fryer oil) into high-quality renewable fuel. Our Warrenville, SC plant is where the magic happens, and we need a sharp, detail-loving Lab Technician to help keep everything running smoothly. If you like science, spreadsheets, and being the person who catches problems before they become problems… keep reading.

Requirements

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs (yes, really)
  • Ability to climb ladders without fear (or at least mild hesitation)
  • Attention to detail (you notice the small stuff others miss)
  • Team player who can also work independently

Nice To Haves

  • 3–5 years of experience (nice to have, not a dealbreaker)
  • High school diploma or equivalent (also nice to have)
  • Basic Excel skills (you and spreadsheets should be on speaking terms)

Responsibilities

  • Testing products and wastewater (because someone has to make sure it’s doing what it’s supposed to do)
  • Keeping an eye on product quality alongside the production team
  • Running final tests and deciding if a batch is “good to go” or “nope, try again”
  • Creating and reviewing paperwork (yes, there’s paperwork — but you’ll be great at it)
  • Releasing product for shipment and sending docs to the right people
  • Putting materials on HOLD when they misbehave
  • Making sure lab equipment is behaving itself
  • Preparing and distributing lab paperwork for production orders
  • Helping the team improve quality, reduce waste, and generally be awesome
  • Tracking inventory like a pro
  • Keeping lab files organized (future-you will thank you)
  • Following the lab cleaning checklist (clean lab = happy lab)
  • Sending samples to customers and delivering samples when needed
  • Keeping an eye on lab supplies so we don’t run out at the worst possible time
  • Suggesting smarter, safer, and more efficient ways to do things
  • Owning 5S in the lab (aka keeping things neat, tidy, and not chaotic)

Benefits

  • 401(k)
  • Dental insurance
  • Free uniforms
  • Health insurance
  • Paid time off
  • Parental leave
  • Vision insurance
