About The Position

The Manufacturing Janitor is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and orderly work environment in a manufacturing facility. This role involves cleaning production areas, restrooms, break rooms, and offices, as well as properly disposing of waste and handling industrial cleaning equipment.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently
Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs, bend, reach, stand, and walk for extended periods
Knowledge of proper chemical handling and industrial cleaning methods
Attention to detail and commitment to workplace cleanliness and safety

Nice To Haves

Prior janitorial or custodial experience, especially in an industrial or manufacturing setting, is a plus

Responsibilities

Clean and sanitize restrooms, break rooms, and office spaces
Sweep, mop, scrub, and vacuum production floors and common areas
Dispose of trash and recycling materials from workstations and designated bins
Replenish cleaning and restroom supplies as needed
Operate industrial cleaning equipment (e.g., floor scrubbers, buffers)
Follow safety procedures for handling cleaning chemicals and hazardous materials
Maintain cleanliness around machinery without interfering with operations
Report any safety hazards, maintenance issues, or needed repairs
Assist with cleaning up spills, leaks, or debris in production areas
Follow company protocols and sanitation standards
