TRUMPF is seeking candidates for an onsite internship in the Large Part Machining Department at our Farmington, CT location. Large parts machining supplies the customer with the highest quality parts on time while achieving expected productivity standards. This internship will run from January 2026 to August 2026, with potential for extension. We will ask that you work at least 32 hours per week. The responsibilities of a Manufacturing intern supporting Large Parts Machining:

Requirements

  • Basic understanding of manufacturing processes such as CNC machining and ideally sheet metal manufacturing
  • CAD design experience
  • SolidWorks is ideal but not required
  • Understanding which materials to use for different applications
  • Being able to read and understand advanced blueprints and drawings
  • Having great attention to quality
  • Must be a student currently enrolled in an accredited university or institution pursuing an undergraduate’s degree in a related field
