About The Position

As the Manufacturing Integration Engineer at DoorDash Labs you will play a critical role in enabling and maturing our next-generation autonomous delivery robots. You will report to the Manufacturing Test Engineering team based in Fremont, CA. This role is in-office, interacting with our hardware and software on a daily basis. You're excited about this opportunity because you will… Be part of an exciting effort to develop and manufacture an autonomous delivery robot. Own the diagnosis and resolution of new issues arising from robot assembly, testing, and fleet deployment. Derisk the integration of new hardware and software onto the robot. Own, develop, and maintain our hardware-in-the-loop workbench for system testing. Conduct bring-up and calibration of autonomous vehicle sensors, including radar, camera, lidar, and ultrasonic sensors. Enable the integration of our next-generation robot vehicle platform including the drivetrain, battery, and vehicle networks.

Requirements

  • B.S., M.S., or PhD. in engineering, e.g. robotics, mechanical, electrical or computer science
  • 5+ years of industry experience working in automotive or mechatronics integration
  • Experience writing requirements & tests for complex systems
  • Experience with Hardware-In-the-Loop (HIL) system design, testing, and debugging
  • Hands-on experience with CAN bus, Ethernet data logging & network analysis tools
  • Strong skills in Linux scripting, IP network management, and embedded systems debugging
