About the Team DoorDash Labs is an independent team within DoorDash. We are working on building autonomous delivery robots from the ground-up and other automation solutions as part of DoorDash's core delivery platform. About the Role As the Manufacturing Integration Engineer at DoorDash Labs you will play a critical role in enabling and maturing our next-generation autonomous delivery robots. You will report to the Manufacturing Test Engineering team based in Fremont, CA. This role is in-office, interacting with our hardware and software on a daily basis.

Requirements

• B.S., M.S., or PhD. in engineering, e.g. robotics, mechanical, electrical or computer science
• 5+ years of industry experience working in automotive or mechatronics integration
• Experience writing requirements & tests for complex systems
• Experience with Hardware-In-the-Loop (HIL) system design, testing, and debugging
• Hands-on experience with CAN bus, Ethernet data logging & network analysis tools
• Strong skills in Linux scripting, IP network management, and embedded systems debugging

Responsibilities

• Be part of an exciting effort to develop and manufacture an autonomous delivery robot.
• Own the diagnosis and resolution of new issues arising from robot assembly, testing, and fleet deployment.
• Derisk the integration of new hardware and software onto the robot.
• Own, develop, and maintain our hardware-in-the-loop workbench for system testing.
• Conduct bring-up and calibration of autonomous vehicle sensors, including radar, camera, lidar, and ultrasonic sensors.
• Enable the integration of our next-generation robot vehicle platform including the drivetrain, battery, and vehicle networks.
