Purpose: Perform precision grinding operations to achieve tight tolerances, surface finishes, and dimensional accuracy on mold components. Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
2+ years grinding experience or equivalent training

Nice To Haves

Experience with tight-tolerance work
Knowledge of mold components
Possession of a valid Journeymen’s license

Responsibilities

Set up and operate surface, cylindrical, and/or jig grinders
Interpret blueprints and work instructions
Maintain tight tolerances and surface finish requirements
Inspect parts using precision measuring tools
Maintain equipment and ensure safe operation
Grind components to required tolerances
Perform wheel dressing and machine setup
Inspect parts using micrometers, indicators, and comparators
Document inspection results
Maintain clean and organized work area
