About The Position

The Manufacturing Forklift Picker is responsible for safely operating a forklift to pick, move, and stage materials, components, and finished goods throughout the facility. This role supports production efficiency by ensuring accurate inventory movement, timely material delivery, and adherence to all safety and quality standards.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid forklift certification or ability to obtain certification upon hire.
  • 1–2 years of experience operating a forklift in a manufacturing, warehouse, or distribution environment.
  • Strong attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and safety.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs. and perform physical work including bending, reaching, and standing for long periods.
  • Basic computer or scanner skills for inventory transactions.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with RF scanners or warehouse management systems (WMS).
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles.
  • Ability to work in fast-paced environments and meet deadlines.
  • Forklift experience

Responsibilities

  • Operate forklifts and other powered industrial trucks to pick, transport, and stage materials as required.
  • Pull orders accurately according to production schedules, pick lists, or work orders.
  • Load and unload materials from trucks, pallets, racks, and storage areas.
  • Ensure all materials are properly scanned, labeled, and recorded in the inventory system.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, including warehouse aisles, loading zones, and staging areas.
  • Inspect forklifts daily and report any mechanical or safety issues immediately.
  • Follow all company safety policies, OSHA regulations, and best practices for material handling.
  • Work closely with production, shipping, and warehouse teams to ensure efficient workflow.
  • Assist with cycle counts, physical inventory, and general warehouse tasks as needed.
