About The Position

The Boeing Technology Innovation team is seeking multiple skilled Manufacturing Fabrication Engineer (Mid-Level, Lead or Senior) to join our growing teams in either Everett, WA or Tukwila, WA. As a Manufacturing Fabrication Engineer, you will collaborate with design and manufacturing technology teams to develop and validate manufacturing processes for composite wing structures. This role will influence the future of Boeing products by shaping manufacturable composite wing designs. Join us to work on cutting‑edge demonstrators in a collaborative, innovative environment. Primary work location in Tukwila, WA. With Frequent work in Everett, WA. Some travel is required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science
  • 3+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Experience with composite manufacturing processes and related tooling or equipment
  • Experience with manufacturing process development or improvement

Nice To Haves

  • 5+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 10+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Prior aerospace or large scale composite structures experience
  • Familiarity with producibility at rate metrics, cost modeling, and lean manufacturing methods
  • Experience with CAD and manufacturing process simulation tools
  • Experience with composite structure design and analysis
  • Experience with statistical methods (e.g design of experiments, control charts, gage R&R)
  • Product development experience

Responsibilities

  • Work cross‑functionally with design engineers, composite manufacturing technologists, equipment and tooling engineers to develop, document and analyze large composite part manufacturing processes
  • Influence design decisions to ensure manufacturability, assembly efficiency, and production at rate for future products
  • With composite manufacturing technologists, define and perform developmental trials. Document results, manufacturing readiness assessments
  • Create manufacturing work instructions, process plans, and tooling concepts
  • Identify risks and implement mitigation strategies to reduce cost, scrap, and rework
  • Support prototyping and manufacturing demonstrations
