  • You have at least three (3) years of experience with Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) and Open Platform Communications (OPC).
  • You will work with a high-level of integrity, confidentiality, organization, and self-discipline.
  • You have good knowledge of operational excellence/lean manufacturing.
  • You are proficient with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

Nice To Haves

  • You may have experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Materials Requirements Planning (MRP), and Structured Query Language (SQL).
  • You may be certified in production and inventory management (APICS).

Responsibilities

  • System Implementation and Customization: You continuously lead the programming and customization of the Infor Shop Floor MES to precisely fit our unique manufacturing processes. This effort is aimed at enhancing process efficiency, facilitating lean manufacturing practices, and ensuring the system remains adaptive to our evolving production needs. Your role involves leveraging your in-depth understanding of the Infor Shop Floor MES to configure it for optimal performance, thereby supporting our commitment to operational excellence and competitiveness.
  • Strategic Planning and System Optimization: You regularly engage in meticulous planning and system optimization using the Infor Shop Floor MES. This includes forecasting and scheduling maintenance activities in a manner that aligns with production schedules, minimizing downtime, and enhancing overall system effectiveness. Your ability to plan ahead ensures that manufacturing processes remain efficient, technologically advanced, and aligned with organizational goals.
  • Training Program Development, Documentation, and Matrix: You actively assist in the development and maintenance of a comprehensive training program to ensure all employees are uniformly trained. This involves consolidating and reviewing existing training materials into a unified, future-oriented training framework, promoting best practices, and standardizing processes across the board. Moreover, you are responsible for tracking and maintaining employee training records within the training matrix, a critical component integrated into the company's Quality Management System (QMS).
  • Process and Quality Enhancement: You engage in the continuous enhancement of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) based on operational feedback and quality assurance analyses. This includes refining processes to minimize errors, enhance process quality, and ensure operations remain efficient, current, and compliant with industry standards. Your role is pivotal in reducing waste, maintaining high product quality standards, and impacting overall customer satisfaction and cost efficiency through these initiatives.
  • Resource and Inventory Management Adaptation: Updating and enhancing the Manufacturing Resource Planning (MRP) system on an ongoing basis, you ensure it remains perfectly aligned with operational needs. This critical function involves optimizing material use, reducing waste and costs, and significantly increasing inventory accuracy. Such precision in resource planning and inventory management directly contributes to reduced production lead times, enabling more efficient material flow through the production process and enhancing our ability to meet customer demands promptly and reliably.
  • Workforce and Production Planning Alignment: Through your active monitoring of changes in production plans and in collaboration with HR and Production Management, you ensure the workforce is adequately aligned with production needs. This entails adjusting headcount and deploying resources effectively to meet current and forecasted production demands, thereby supporting the organization in achieving its operational goals and maintaining production efficiency.
