About The Position

The Manufacturing Excellence Specialist is responsible for the administration, transfer and validation of business information, including technical & social skill requirements for all Nonexempt, hourly production & maintenance employees within their Manufacturing Unit. This position will work within the Manufacturing Units in support of EHS, HR, Quality, Operations (Production & Maintenance) Product & Process Engineering, Supply Chain, Procurement & Finance. In addition, the Manufacturing Excellence Specialist will work within the authority of the document control organization in support of the QMS and all other BMS ensuring an orderly repository of documents required on behalf of Government, Contracts, Certifications or Internal Business Controls. This position will maintain standards for execution of policy & procedures for the efficient and consistent delivery of services within the Manufacturing Organization. The Manufacturing Excellence Specialist participate on a site wide training advisory board to provide a seamless transfer of business information. This position will work with the operations workforce providing advocacy for unidentified needs requiring immediate attention. This position requires a high degree of confidentiality and a passion to resolve or escalate issues to their conclusion. Requirements

  • Requires a minimum of 4 years manufacturing related experience or a BS degree in an engineering related field.
  • Requires knowledge of manufacturing processes and equipment used in the production of aluminum fabricated products.
  • Strong mathematical skills are essential.
  • SAP knowledge, preferred.
  • Solid reasoning ability is required to contribute to solving challenges as they arise in a fast-paced dynamic manufacturing environment.
  • Excellent organizational and self-management skills are essential to the success of this position along with proven communication capabilities in both group and individual settings.
  • Language fluency in English is required.
  • Ability to work in cross-organizational and multi-functional teams in a global matrix organization with manufacturing operations and an international mindset.
  • A mastery of required Microsoft Suite skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) are essential.
