Manufacturing Equipment Technician Individual will work with Test and Mechanical Engineers to support the Test Engineering Group, building and maintaining the automated test systems and fixtures for MACOM manufacturing Labs. This role includes procuring quotes and submitting the orders for equipment and hardware. Job Description: Assembling automated test stands, test fixtures and verification of assemblies. Layout and build custom switch decks and verify functionality. Build custom cables and wire harnesses. Design and 3D print custom parts and fixtures. Procure new equipment and hardware. Contact vendors for quotes, submit purchase requisitions in SAP.

Requirements

  • Experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Strong mechanical skills required, work with various hand tools and power tools.
  • Soldering experience.
  • Good communication skills (both verbal and written)
  • Able to work independently with limited direction.
  • Able to read and work from drawings and prints.
  • Computer skills helpful, specifically SAP and MS office applications
  • Knowledge of ESD procedures preferred
  • Knowledge of various electrical and microwave test measurements preferred

Nice To Haves

  • Experience using machine shop tools is very useful.
  • SolidWorks experience useful.
