About The Position

Interfaces with other test engineers and internal customers to coordinate the deployment of new test fixtures. Begin evaluating, designing and project managing own test fixture projects and solicit assistance as needed. Writes, releases, approves, implements, and issues engineering change orders (ECO's) as required to support the implementation of new or improved test fixtures and equipment. Assist or own the coordination and/or execution of test fixture sourcing activities. Uses basic engineering and DFx principles to estimate and reduce test fixture development costs and improve delivered fixture quality. Develops, maintains and improves test procedures and the overall testing process. Assists with the definition of test specifications with design, software, and manufacturing engineering. Determines time standards and implements changes to improve safety, quality, and reliability. Uses lean principles to eliminate wastes found in the production/test system. Determines root cause and implements corrective actions for issues that arise during design and deployment of test fixtures and provides failure analysis report as required. Gathers operational and test data and evaluates results; Uses data to make data driven continuous improvement changes to the test process The ideal candidate will have working experience with Mayan or equivalent software. Proficiency in the following software is a plus: AgileE6, SAP, PTC Creo, Ansys, Smartsheet, Tableau, TeamCenter, Core+ or other similar software programs. Bachelor's degree 2-4 years of related experience Strong conceptual knowledge and technical experience for everyday problem-solving on the job Solid interpersonal skills, and the ability to clearly explain complex information to others This position may require standing for extended periods of time, walking, working in tight spaces, bending, squatting, twisting, kneeling, reaching, lifting, the ability to distinguish between colors, the ability to work in an environment with noise that may be difficult for some individuals with sensitivity to noise, and the use of hand and power tools. Additionally, because this position also may involve working in a clean room, the use of appropriate Personal Protective Equipment such as coveralls, hoods, booties, safety glasses, gloves, respirators, chemical aprons, and face shields may be required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 2-4 years of related experience
  • Strong conceptual knowledge and technical experience for everyday problem-solving on the job
  • Solid interpersonal skills, and the ability to clearly explain complex information to others
