How Will You Make an Impact? As a Manufacturing Engineering Technician, you will play a critical role in supporting 2nd shift production operations by performing preventative maintenance, calibration, and repair of automated manufacturing equipment Component feeders and other specialty support equipment used in the manufacturing process. Handling essential maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs. Your work directly ensures the smooth, safe, and efficient execution of manufacturing processes within a highly technical defense and aerospace environment. By maintaining equipment reliability and supporting process optimization, you help safeguard product quality, minimize downtime, and keep our manufacturing operations performing at peak levels. Location: This will be a full-time on-site position reporting into our St. Petersburg Aerospace and Defense facility. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED preferred not required or equivalent experience, technical school certification, or equivalent experience.
  • Proven experience in machine repair and maintenance within a manufacturing environment.
  • Ideally 2 years of demonstrated Quality or Machine Operations experience.
  • Ability to work independently on 2nd shift with minimal supervision.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills for mechanical and electrical issues.
  • Familiarity with various manufacturing equipment and their operational principles.
  • Solid understanding of manufacturing processes and their interdependencies.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform effective preventive maintenance.
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to safety and quality.
  • Ability to interpret equipment documentation, maintenance records, and technical data.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience in defense or aerospace manufacturing environments.
  • Additional training or certifications in industrial maintenance, equipment repair, or process engineering.

Responsibilities

  • Execute preventive maintenance tasks on a variety of manufacturing equipment according to established schedules and procedures
  • Follow mixing recipes and ensure proper mix is achieved and is of proper quality
  • Track machine operational efficiency through log and note taking
  • Perform simple engineering calculations for equipment
  • Perform repairs of automatic and manual conformal coating equipment, keeping in mind the chemical hazards that the operators might be encountering or causing.
  • Perform diagnostic troubleshooting and repair to address equipment malfunctions and minimize production downtime
  • Support engineers in implementing and optimizing manufacturing processes.
  • Conduct routine maintenance on production lines and ancillary equipment to ensure operational readiness.
  • Identify and help resolve manufacturing process issues to improve efficiency and product quality.
  • Document maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment performance for repairs, and equipment performance for tracking and analysis
  • Troubleshoot and conduct periodic inspections to determine maintenance work required
  • Comply and follow all procedures within the company security policy
  • First responder to equipment failures and deployment of containment actions
  • Adhere to all safety regulations, procedures, and company policies.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to support continuous improvement initiatives.
