About The Position

Cadence Inc in Sturgeon Bay, WI is seeking a hands-on Manufacturing Engineering Technician to support our growing operations. This role serves as the key connection between Engineering, NPI, and Production—ensuring equipment runs efficiently, processes are production-ready, and new products transition smoothly into manufacturing. Requirements

  • Highschool degree or equivalent and technical or associate program encouraged.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment (CNC, robotics, or automation preferred)
  • Strong troubleshooting and mechanical aptitude
  • Experience supporting NPI launches and production process development
  • Ability to develop clear, operator-ready work instructions
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints
  • Experience with CNC programming and machine setup
  • Working knowledge of quality systems and inspection methods
  • Familiarity with Lean manufacturing or continuous improvement principles
  • Strong collaboration and problem-solving skills
  • Commitment to safety, quality, and teamwork

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventive maintenance and troubleshoot manufacturing equipment to minimize downtime
  • Program and set up CNC mills, lathes, robots, and related machinery based on blueprints and 3D models
  • Validate and test machine programs for accuracy and performance
  • Partner closely with the NPI (New Product Introduction) team early in development to create manufacturing processes that are practical, efficient, and operator-friendly
  • Lead the handoff of new processes from NPI to production, ensuring documentation, readiness, and operator training are complete
  • Analyze manufacturing processes and implement improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce cost
  • Conduct inspections and testing to ensure products meet quality standards
  • Develop and maintain SOPs, work instructions, and maintenance documentation
  • Train and support production operators on equipment and process changes
  • Collect and analyze production data to drive continuous improvement
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulatory requirements
  • Work closely with the NPI team early in development to align with production operator needs.
