About The Position

Eaton’s ES AMER ESS division is currently seeking a Manufacturing Engineering Supervisor. This role is based out of our Greenwood, SC location. The Manufacturing Engineering Supervisor leads a team of manufacturing engineers and technicians responsible for improving production processes, implementing new technologies, and ensuring optimal efficiency, quality, and safety across the plant. This role provides technical leadership, drives continuous improvement initiatives, and collaborates closely with production, quality, maintenance, and supply chain to support operational goals. The expected annual salary range for this role is $97000 - $143000 a year. Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology from an accredited university.
  • 3 years of engineering work experience in manufacturing.
  • 1 year of experience supervising others
  • Must be authorized to work in the US without sponsorship now or in the future
  • Strong knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles, continuous improvement, and root-cause analysis.
  • Experience with CAD tools (e.g. SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and manufacturing process documentation.
  • Proven ability to lead teams, manage multiple projects, and communicate effectively.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Manufacturing Engineering from an accredited university.
  • Work experience in electrical manufacturing.
  • Six Sigma Green Belt or higher.
  • Work experience with automation, robotics, or advanced manufacturing technologies.
  • SAP system experience.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise, mentor, and develop a team of manufacturing engineers and/or engineering technicians.
  • Assign project work, set priorities, and ensure timely completion of engineering activities.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to resolve complex manufacturing issues.
  • Lead initiatives to improve safety, quality, delivery, and cost (SQDC) performance.
  • Evaluate and optimize manufacturing processes using Lean, Six Sigma, and other methodologies.
  • Identify bottlenecks and implement solutions to increase throughput and reduce waste.
  • Drive standardization of work instructions, process documentation, and best practices.
  • Manage engineering projects such as equipment installations, modifications, and upgrades.
  • Oversee validation of new machinery, tooling, and automation systems.
  • Partner with maintenance to improve equipment reliability and reduce unplanned downtime.
  • Support capital planning and prepare justification for new equipment or process investments.
  • Collaborate with R&D and product engineering during product design and launch phases.
  • Ensure manufacturability, scalability, and production readiness for new products.
  • Develop and validate production processes, layouts, tooling, and work instructions.
  • Support root-cause analysis and corrective actions for process or quality issues.
  • Ensure processes comply with internal standards, customer requirements, and regulatory guidelines.
  • Maintain proper documentation such as PFMEAs, control plans, and process flow diagrams.
  • Use production and quality data to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
  • Prepare reports and present engineering updates to management or cross-functional teams.
